This Bird Buddy smart bird feeder is such a fun and innovative product. It’s simple to setup and easy to use. It holds a good amount of seed and the picture quality is great. This is an awesome way to enjoy all of the birds that visit without disturbing them.

This bird feeder is definitely a unique and impressive gift for any bird lover. It is easy to set up and the photo quality is really good!

My son treated me to the Bird Buddy. Set up was good/easy/average. The camera is awesome, and the features on the phone app are so wonderful. I didn’t even realize all the features until I owned it for a month! There isn’t enough space here to go over all the fun things you can do and learn. If I had to say a few things apart from the fabulous camera technology, I think it pays to say that it is not squirrel proof. I owned it one day, and a squirrel wrecked the thing. Knocked it out of the tree because I only hung it off a short branch, it fell apart and the wire to the solar roof and camera was chewed in half. No refund, no replacement from Bird Buddy itself. Did get a 30% off new roof. The red part (perch) disappeared after some chewing, and it is permanently gone. Camera still works great; features great; got new solar roof with the discount. Now I secure it much better with bungie cords. Not the easiest to fill, but every other feature is fabulous.

It’s pretty cool to see the variety of birds that stop by. Getting to see them on the app is fun and it creates a fun ritual for being connected with nature.

I’d seen Bird Buddy on Kickstarter and advertised for a long time, but never ended up buying one. Then I forgot about it! It was such a breeze to set up, and the image quality is beautiful! I can’t wait to see the seasons change the differences between birds that come by to say hi 🙂

My wife and I love this! Assembly and setup was straightforward through the app with lots of tips and tricks to attract feathered friends. Within a few hours we had our first visitors.
We consider ourselves bird novices and this has been a great way to learn about the birds that live in our area. The app is full of information about the birds captured on camera and even has a social feed too see other owners pictures and videos.

Packaging is efficient and thoughtful. Quick start guide right on top! Arrived with nearly full charge so was able to update firmware and get account set up out of the box. App is beautiful, simple, easy and free! Many cool features including sharing private access with other accounts or posting select images to a community stream. The feeder itself is constructed of durable, sturdy material and all components fit well together. Can’t wait to get some bird feed and meet all our feathered neighbors

I ordered this for my wife for her birthday, and it has turned into something the whole family enjoys! We have seen Robins, Goldfinches, and the occasional Blackbird up close. The app took a little while to get used to, but now we’ve all got the hang of it. The camera, Wi-Fi- connection and solar panels all work great! We haven’t had to charge it once. The photos on the app look great too. There are a lot of feeders on the market, and I’m glad I chose this one, Super happy with the purchase!!

I absolutely love my (now several) Bird Buddies – as does my father/his wife who now also have two of them. They are super easy to set up and manage, and the solar roof does a really impressive job of keeping them charged. The app (which I think won an award at one of the big conferences?) does an amazing job identifying birds, and is a little addictive to scroll through other videos as well.

I received a Bird Buddy as a gift and love it! I have now bought my mom one and some more accessories for mine. As they are a young company, manufacturing and shipping time is long but oh so worth it!

I love my Bird Buddy! Yes…development took longer than expected, but now that it’s here, I love it. I love my bird buddy! It’s been a big hit with the whole family. It’s so much fun to look out the window and see the birds all fighting for a spot on the feeder, and the camera has taken some great photos and videos of several different bird species.

Huge improvements since 6 mos. Ago when I received my Bird Buddy. They’ve been working hard to improve battery life which was my biggest problem. I really enjoy seeing the new postcards when I’m notified.

I pre-ordered with delivery by Christmas and received my Bird Buddy three days before Christmas as promised. It was very easy to add the solar panel and set up the WiFi and app. The picture and video quality is amazing! The bird identification is correct about 80% of the time and is getting better. The creators are very interactive with the BB community and are constantly reviewing suggestions to better the app, battery life, and more. It has been a wonderful experience and I highly suggest it any bird lover!

I never had many issues so never had to contact customer service – the battery life is very good now and always have gotten great pictures.

If you love birds, this is for you! Fabulous close ups of friends at the feeder and help with ID. It’s fun to see them up close and personal. Plus there’s a huge community to connect with if you want and see birds from all over the world.

The BirdBuddy is an easy to use bird cam-feeder that is fun to use. After several firmware updates the battery life and camera performance improved immensely. The optional solar roof is a plus.

I’ve had my BirdBuddy for several months now. I love how it figures out the type of bird it is (or the occasional squirrel). I love the videos of my neighborhood friends. I hope they turn on the audio feature soon. I would love to hear the birds. I have had to unpair it once, but repaired easily and fixed the problem. I look forward to new visitors & the regulars too.

This company has come on leaps and bounds. It’s fair to say, that the Kickstarter was slow and dragged despite the backers being there. It seemed frustrating and even I questioned if we would actually get this product but – that being said, since it’s arrival and the companies addition of employees to the customer service team, they have been doing fabulously. They communicate with the community regularly and offer support as soon as they can.

My son got me this for Mother’s Day and it is the best gift I ever received. Takes beautiful photos and helps to identify birds.
I will be happy when software is updated to ignore squirrels!

I am in love with my BirdBuddy since I got it! It took the birds in my garden a few days to find it, but once they got used to it I’m getting a lot of activity, and I couldn’t enjoy it more! The cute bird postcards brighten up my days, and with longer days and the solar roof attachment I barely need to recharge the battery, which is also great!

They are always listening to customer’s feedback and working on improving the experience. As a new app, some of the flows need a bit more work, but it’s reassuring to know they are on top of it. Looking forward to the new features and updates!

It took a while to get the order, which I expected since it was a Kickstarter. However, since I have had it, it’s been wonderful! I get so many pictures and videos, and of great quality! I see things I never noticed before! Customer service is fantastic and gets back to you quickly and they keep us informed constantly. The BirdBuddy is great fun and entertaining to have. Due the BirdBuddy I learn a lot about birds, way more than I ever thought I would. It is exciting to get the postcards and see what bird has been visiting the BirdBuddy. The photo quality is extremely good. Overall it was more than I expected. Now I am about to buy one for my dad too, everybody whom has seen this are very curious about it. And the BirdBuddy support/helpdesk are very friendly and prompt.

This is my favorite Kickstarter item ever! They had some growing pains at the start, but never anything bad enough to change my mind about how awesome this thing is. And with the new firmware and the solar roof I don’t even remember the last time I had to charge the battery!

I love my Bird Buddy! It’s so cool to get up-close pictures and videos of my regular backyard birds and those just passing through. The picture quality is amazing and it’s so interesting to see bird behaviors too, like who’s territorial, who’s hogging the seed. My experience with customer support has been great; the team is very responsive and helpful, following up to make sure everything is working. I can’t wait to see the other products in development. It’s exciting being part of a fantastic community of birders!

Love, love, love my Bird Buddy! My 4 year old grandson will stop anything he is doing to open a bird visit notification. He’s learning about sharing our yard, who visits us and taking turns opening the Bird Buddy post cards. Looking forward to the new products as well.

Love the way this bird feeder encourages interaction and learning, and also contributes to global scientific data about birds! Such a great addition to our home.

Very easy to set up. The solar panel option is was worth the investment. The AI works quite well although I did get a couple of false ID’s. But considering the volume of pics, I am very pleased with the Birdbuddy performance.

I was one of the first backers when the bird buddy was on kickstarter. I have had zero issues with it and have a lot of fun watching birds with my family. People at work are always asking me about it and love to see the pictures. I would 100% recommend this product if you are on the fence about buying it. I will be purchasing the new hummingbird feeder as soon as it is released! 10/10 would recommend

I’m obsessed with my Bird Buddy and have only great things to say about it! It works exactly the way it should, communication from the development team about updates and firmware are steady, and it’s truly so much fun. My family loves it when a new species is identified at our feeder. We’ve even named a few of our “regulars” and look forward to seeing them every day.

The bird feeder is really a good thing! After initial hesitation on the part of the birds, I now have many visitors per day – it’s always nice and fun to see the pictures and videos and know that you are doing something good for the birds. I’m excited to see the new products, which will further expand the scope and be a great addition for the summer.

So Bird Buddy took absolutely forever to get to me… but good things come to those who wait! Bird Buddy gets better and better by the day! I just absolutely love it! So many people ask me about Bird Buddy and want one for themselves. It’s fairly decent at providing background on the birds in your feeder, and takes clear enough photos that other ID apps tend to fill in where Bird Buddy might get it wrong. My cats love it too. It’s honestly one of the best gifts I ever got. Was worth waiting for. 🙂

I’m so happy with my two Bird Buddy’s, Since day one I put them in our Garden I’m receiving postcards. Sometimes the bird pictures make me lough, give me a good start in my day or get me excited if it’s a new bird. Love it.

Got one for a gift. Loved the different photos of the birds. Had to get a bird book to help identify some of the birds. Didn’t know we had some of the birds in my region.

I was an early backer in the kickstarter funding. I love this. I enjoy the close up pics and the AI learns fast. Sure it is not perfect, but the team takes time to learn what we need and put it in updates as they are able.

I preordered my BirdBuddy so I had to wait several months in anticipation of its arrival. It did not disappoint! Set up is pretty simple if you follow the steps. That said, if you have an issue, the customer service is pretty good but it is not immediate. It was part of a kickstarter so they are continually updating and improving based on feedback. I was so eager to start seeing birds, but it does take awhile for birds to find the feeder in the summer (food is plentiful everywhere in the summer). There’s a nice community of BirdBuddy owners so it’s nice to learn tips and tricks from them–and it’s great to see birds from everyone else’s feeders Every time I share pics from my Bird Buddy, people message me and ask me what camera and feeder system I’ve got, Caveat: you do need wi-fi and a smart phone so this might not work well for your great grandma who does not have a smart phone.

I received Bird Buddy as a gift and absolutely LOVE IT! I added the solar charger and everything has worked great. No issues whatsoever! The app is easy to use and the camera uses your Wi-Fi to connect, so you’ll want to make sure your Wi-Fi reaches that part of your yard. It’s been so much fun to get “postcards” from my feeder and to see videos of birds from around the world in the app and on their social.

We’re delighted with our Bird Buddy. I purchased one for my husband in March 2022. We didn’t receive it until December 2022. But since it has been great to get pictures of local birds. We have learned so much about birds since then. It’s an excellent gift for anyone with even a mild interest in birds. We purchased one for my in-laws as an anniversary gift. They received it within a week of my placing the order. So it seems that Bird Buddy has been able to address its supply issues. They love theirs as well. Great innovative product. Unfortunately, they are a little pricey, but I’d say they are well worth it for anyone who enjoys watching birds.

I purchased Bird Buddy for my husband and we both REALLY enjoy it. The camera is very good and the app does a great job of identifying and organizing the photos / videos. We actually learned that a much more diverse array of birds, than we were aware of, come to our feeder. It is a fun way to birdwatch up close.

Was difficult to connect to wifi, etc but well worth the effort! Was the perfect gift for my bird-loving dad.

My review would have been a 3.5 because the battery needs to be charged every 2-3 weeks but we just purchased the solar roof and it’s a game changer!!!! We love our bird buddy.

I received the Bird Buddy as a gift. I would love to purchase more but the pricing is a bit hard to swallow. After initial installation, the bird buddy would not activate when visitors arrived. It took a software update that came available almost 5 weeks later before the camera would activate. I could physically see birds in the feeder but the camera wouldn’t recognize them. Following the update this sucker came alive. I’m extremely pleased with how it works. Outside of telephoto lenses, you can’t get this intimate with bird-life. The detail that pops from the Bird Buddy images is astounding. Birding was a minor hobby of mine but this thing has ratcheted it to a new level. The camera doesn’t always capture the sharpest of images but I’ve also never tried to get a bird to sit still for a photoshoot. Collecting bird species through the Bird Buddy is my new distraction.

Love our Bird Buddy. It’s so cool to see them up close and personal and learning about the birds from all the information that is provided in an artsy cool way.. I’ve already bought one for my niece for her to share with her granddaughters and teach them about the different birds. Customer Service is also great and quick to respond.

Love looking at the different types of birds which are in my yard. The pictures (most of the time, hard to capture moving birds) are so vibrant and clear.

This was a gift from our children because they know how much we enjoy sitting and watching the birds at our house. Well, this gives us a real front row seat to see the birds and watch them interact with each other. It’s just amazing you can hear them sing and call to their mates. The experience is awesome.

I love my Bird Buddy! I’ve learned so much. The ID is not ALWAYS correct, but even then, it’s piqued my interest and led me down the rabbit trails of discovering more about the birds recognized or not recognized. I’ve always been more of a mammal person, but this has opened a whole new world to me! And in the crazy summer heat of Texas, this (along with teeny the squirrel picnic table my husband built) has helped turn my backyard into a regular wildlife sanctuary!

My experience so far has been great. I have always had an interest in birds and have read about them and fed them and provided shelter for them. I think those things help in not only attracting birds but enjoying the experience. It also helps to have a little technology knowledge. And if you hate using a cell phone, it’s not for you.

I love the pictures of my birdy visitors. It’s fun to share the photos with friends and family and I’ve been able to identify species I hadn’t noticed before. My daughter connects remotely and it’s fun to have her comment on our birds. The solar charger and blue tooth camera work flawlessly.
